Yes, You do need to be a member to utilize our facility. The monthly fee is $49 that is charged the first of every month.

Temperament Evaluation is a term that we use to describe our intake process for new four-legged clients. It allows us to determine who your pet is and where they will be most comfortable in our facility.  

Temperament is the general attitude a dog displays towards people and other animals; it is the combined inherited and acquired physical and mental traits that influence the dog's behavior. Temperament testing evaluates an individual dog's temperament through a series of tests that measure traits including stability, confidence, shyness, friendliness, aggressiveness, protectiveness, prey instincts, play drive, and self-defense instincts, and ability to distinguish between threatening and nonthreatening situations. Snuggles and Hugs only has one goal with Temperament Evaluations and that is to gain specific knowledge about your individual pet so that we can best serve him/her in every capacity. 

All Campers must:

• Complete Camper Profile Form
• Attend a Active Dog Camp Evaluation and meet the temperament testing requirements
• Sign Service Agreement
• Be on a flea and tick prevention program
• Be spayed or neutered if 7 months or older
• Bring a copy of your pet’s vaccination records on your first visit

When Can My Dog Come To Active Dog Camp?

Tuesday thru Friday you can drop off 7:30am to 9:00am and pick-up between 4:00-5:30pm. Saturday & Sunday Active Camp is closed.

Do You Have Separate Areas for Large and Small Dogs?

Yes, we have four separate plays areas and are setup to accommodate dogs by their size, energy level, play style and activities they enjoy. Our focus is on small playgroups allowing staff to give each dog more attention and provide a variety of stimulating activities.

By the end of the day, we’re all pooped! If we haven’t heard from you by 5:30pm, we will feed, potty break, hug and tuck your dog in for the night. Additional overnight charges will apply. Thank You For Understanding!

Petiquette … Dog Meet Dog – in our Lobby

When arriving, please have your pet on a standard leash 4-6 foot lead or in an appropriate carrier. Pets ARE NOT ALLOWED TO RUN OFF LEASH IN THE PARKING LOT. This is for you and your pet’s own safety.

Alternate Pick-up Person

Please inform us if an alternate pick-up person is coming for your pet each time. We will not release a pet without owner’s permission being arranged ahead of time.

During check in you will be asked to fill out a veterinary release form (if not done previously), you will be giving your consent for us to properly care for your pet. We will contact the vet of your choice,however if one is not provided we will contact the closest vet for care. You will be contacted immediately. All charges incurred will be the responsibility of the pet owner.

Here at Snuggles and Hugs we love assisting shy doggies. Having a shy dog is not uncommon, and it could be for a number of reasons, lack of socialization, breed, learned behavior from the parents.etc... For an additional fee we will work with your dog one on one and help build confidence. We can customize a program that will be integrated into his daily activity schedule. 

Yes, you can purchase a package of Active Dog Camp sessions. We ask that you call to discuss the needs of your dog, set up an interview/evaluation in order to tailor a program for your pup.

We enjoy speaking with the parents as well and will let you know how your dogs day was, or answer any questions you might have when you pick up your dog or at a more convenient time for you.

Here at Snuggles and Hugs ALL campers are members and to be considered for Active Camp/Luxury Cage-Free Boarding dogs are required:

• Complete a temperament evaluation
• DHPP - given at least 7-10 days prior to check-in
• Rabies - given at least 7-10 days prior to check-in
• Bordetella - given at least 7-10 days prior to check-in
• Existing skin conditions - must have a veterinarian's statement of diagnosis
• We also suggest that your dog be on flea preventative per their individual needs. We do take precautions on at our facility, but these pest can be picked up anytime dogs are outdoors.
• Be spayed/neutered if 7 months or older
• Puppies are accepted if they meet above requirements
• Show no aggression and be socially appropriate with other dogs

♥ Space is limited and in order to secure your spot ALL active dog campers are members and are required to come to camp at the very least, twice a month to keep your membership. To be eligible to board with us pets must come a minimum of once a month.

♥ We encourage to schedule at least a couple of weeks in advance of your preferred boarding date.

*It is best to drop off dogs that will be boarded in the morning hours. This way they will get plenty of play time on their first day and it will be easier for them to settle at night.

YES, ABSOLUTELY! If you have a puppy or adolescent dog, there is a limited time in your dog’s brain development to engage with a variety of other balanced dogs. Too often dogs abruptly leave their litter and have to quickly adapt to being part of a human pack. Sometimes putting off socialization can lead to a dog not being “dog friendly.” Relying on dog parks for socialization is a bit of a risk. We encourage you to bring the young ones, the sooner the better!!

Absolutely! In order to ensure that each guest comes home fresh and clean, a dog bath is required, without exception, for any dog boarding with us for 7 days or more.

We are closed to the public so we can devote more of our time to the dogs and clean. We have limited ‘people’ hours so we can have more ‘dog’ hours. In order to maintain this level of dog time, Snuggles and Hugs’ late policy is as follows: a late fee of $25 per dog if you have prior approval and $35 per dog without prior approval. If a client arrives without prior approval, and authorized personnel are not present, for safety reasons, we cannot release/accept your pet.

Our facility has plentiful indoor play rooms, so nasty climate does not influence our capacity to exercise, stimulate, play and provide personal attention to your pet.

This is done for the comfort and health of your pet. Dogs who attend camp regularly and remain familiar with the facility and staff are much less likely to develop stress-related health problems during their stay with us. Our goal is ultimate comfort and minimum stress for the dogs in our care.

While we will be happy to provide our "house" food to your pet, BUT sudden food changes can result in stomach upset so please bring food for your pet. If your pet is staying overnight, bring pre-measured food in sealed containers with lids or in plastic sealable bags (i.e. If your dog needs 1 cup AM and PM, you will pre-measure (2) 1 cup meals for each day).

Your babies diet is paramount to there health and we will not introduce new food unless ABSOLUTELY necessary. 

To guarantee a place owners must have a standing reservation of a minimum of two days per month. Campers are required to attend a minimum of one day at Active Dog Camp per month to be eligible to board with us. This is to ensure your pet stays familiar with our facility, environment, staff and other campers. This will potentially reduce stress for your dog and staff will get to know their personalities much better.
